Banana, Chocolate & Dates Mug Cake

​Super quick cake recipe. Low calorie, butter & oil-free. Banana goes really well with chocolate and dates.

Absolutely delicious & guilt-free dessert. Use only microwave.​

  • 4 tablespoon all purpose flour
  • ¾ teaspoon Baking powder
  • a pinch of salt
  • 1 tablespoon unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1-2 drops Vanilla essence

  • 1 whole ripe banana, chopped
  • 4 pitted dates, chopped
  • 3 teaspoon plain yogurt
  • 1 egg
  • 3-4 sachets


  1. In a bowl, combine all purpose flour, baking powder, pinch of salt, cocoa powder, and 3-4 sachets of Sugalife (depending on how sweet you want your mug cake to be).
  2. In a separate bowl, mash chopped banana & dates together until soft
  3. Scoop the batter into a mug. Make sure to fill the mug ¾ full, leaving enough room for the cake to rise.
  4. Microwave on high for 2 minutes. Bigger mug may need additional 1 minute.
